When did your passion for the pinup scene start?

I was into old cars and old school music at a very young age but I never really knew much about the pinup scene. It was until 2013 that I got my hair and makeup done at Kurri Kurri Nostalgia Festival and bought my first ever pinup dress. Since then it became a lifestyle for me.

What kind of style are you influenced by?

I have a mixed style. When there are big events on, I tend to wear authentic 1950's clothing from head to toe and look prim and proper but 98% of the time I’m a greaser girl. I wear men’s hot rod shirts, denim jeans and sneakers, plus I tend to do an easy pinup up do. I’ve always been more of a tomboy than a girly girl. I think it’s a car chick thing haha.

Who is most influential to your style?

I don’t really have a person that’s influential to my style. I’m constantly inspired by a lot of women that are part of the pinup/car culture that are confident and rock their own style! They’re badass!

What is your favourite era?

I’m stuck between the 50's and 60's but if I had to pick one, it would be the 50's. I feel like that would be the era that I’d belong in.

What are your Top 5 must have items for being the pinup you are?

1: Sephora liquid eyeliner

2: Anastasia Beverly hills contour kit

3: "Sculpture" gel spray

4: Granny underwear (to suck your gut in)

5: Revlon Colourstay eyebrow pencil

Tell us about your makeup routine and how long it takes you?

I use Cliniqué foundation/concealer to cover most of my imperfections. I contour my face with Anastasia Beverley hills contour kit (that shit is magic!). I define my eyebrows with Revlon Colourstay eyebrow pencil, then I do my wings with Sephora liquid eyeliner. After that, I finish off my face with Rimmel London maxi blush! It takes about 30 minutes or less. Depends on how much effort I want to put in haha.

How do you set and style your hair?

I usually set my hair the night before with some foam rollers that you can buy at any hair shop or even a hot dollar shop. They’re cheap as chips!

I tend to slightly dampen my hair when I roll it so the curls are tighter and then I sit under my 50's hood dryer for about an hour before I go to bed so I know it’s going to set properly. Then I use "sculpture" gel spray to really hold my hairstyle in place, once I brush it all out. It’s way better than hairspray. It literally cements your hair so it won’t go no where!

What's your best kept secret?

I can’t tell you! That’s a secret..............

Just kidding!!

Ummm I’d say for those who get extremely sore feet when wearing heels (like me). Always take some flats with you or even wear flats for walking around and then put your heels on, only for competitions and photos as it saves you from walking around like a drunk person because your feet are burning. It certainly helps!
